Coastal TVET College admission requirements 2023-2024

The Tесhnісаl and Vocational Eduсаtіоn and Trаіnіng (TVET) Colleges Online Application for 2023 has been open for admissions into various programs in all institutions to prospective students who want to study at any of the TVET Colleges in South Africa. Therefore, the management at the various colleges is inviting applicants to apply for admission for the 2023-2024 academic year.

You can apply online to any of the colleges by visiting their Online Application portal through the link below. Applicants can also visit the school to plan for an online application session.

You can apply online using your smartphone, tablet, or computer via the student i-Enabler, logging in with your PIN and student number.

Applicants should submit an application for admission to both the current and next levels of their application. Make sure you upload all of the relevant supporting documents and pay all of the fees.

All students seeking to study at the College for the first time are to select a course of their choice from the diverse courses offered by the College. Coastal TVET College offers a wide range of diverse courses both National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED). The College offers courses under the following fields:

Business Studies N4 – N6

  • Nated: Financial Management
  • Nated: Human Resource Management
  • Nated: Management Assistant
  • Nated: Marketing Management
  • Nated: Public Management
  • Nated: Tourism

Engineering Studies N1 – N6

  • Nated: Civil Engineering
  • Nated: Electrical Engineering
  • Nated: Mechanical Engineering
  • Nated: Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice / Draughting

 

Coastal TVET College Admission Requirements.

Requirements for NC(V) Courses;

The students are permitted to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 taking into account possible subject failures.

  • Minimum entrance requirements are NQF1 i.e. Grade 9 and AET Level 4
  • Entry requirements have been guided and aligned to the NC (V) policy. A point system for entry into qualifications will be utilized.

Requirements for Report 191 Courses;

  • Minimum entrance requirements as aligned by the NATED Policy. Students who have passed to Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • Students who have passed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 who want to pursue an artisan career will be admitted to N1 based on a point system

Requirements for Occupational Courses;

  • Minimum entrance requirements as per registered Skills Programme/Learnership approved by QCTO/SETA
  • To be eligible to apply for an Occupational Programme a student who previously enrolled for NC(V) or Report 191 programmes will only be considered if such a student has fully completed the NC(V) or Report 191 programme (passed all subjects).

Additional Entry Requirements

  • The College Council has determined additional entry requirements by means of a point system for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1 and Report 191 N4 in an effort to improve the quality and performance of specialized programmes.
