NSFAS is a government entity under the Department of Higher Education and Training established according to the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial support to disadvantaged students who wish to further their studies at public universities or TVET colleges.
Why mynsfas account has been locked?
If you have forgotten your MyNSFAS login details and do not have access to the email address or cell phone number on Nsfas system, you’re required to submit a certified affidavit requesting that your email and cell phone number be updated with the old and new details reflecting to uds@nsfas.org.za.
How to unlock your nsfas account
- Log into your myNSFAS account
- Go to NSFAS Connect
- Create a case
- Submit a picture of your ID using a cell phone
- Provide your current cell number
- Indicate that your NSFAS Wallet is blocked
If you are unable to access your myNSFAS account to submit this request, you may send a request to NSFAS via their social media inbox (DM) or email.
How to reset your forgotten password
- Step 1: Go to my.nsfas.org.za
- Step 2: Click “forgot your password” below
- Step 3: Enter ID and press verify
- Step 4: Indicate whether you have access to your email address /mobile number or not.
- Step 5: On the next page Enter your ID number and press Submit (If you get UserProfile doesn’t exist, You need to re-register)
- Step 4: Select ” I can’t remember my password ” on the dropdown and hit submit
- Step 5: Check your email and message app for further instructions.
- NB: Password should be a unique password, don’t repeat the old password. or Enter New@2028 as a password – Your account will be unlocked immediately.
