MyNsfas is the portal for Nsfas applicants to log in and access and manage important info regarding the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.

Students or NSFAS applicants are strongly encouraged to create their MyNSFAS accounts. The process is as follows:

1. Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on “myNsfas account“.
2. Enter your username and password.
3. Click on the “My personal details” tab.
4. Update your cellphone number and/or email address to your current one.
5. Click “Update your details” to proceed.
6. A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to the new number and email address that you have provided.
7. Enter the OTP and click submit.
8. Your details will immediately be updated.

On the NSFAS website, how do you find your status?

You may usually expect a response within a few days of the deadline if you apply for funding through the NSFAS (30th November 2023).
If you’ve been waiting to hear if you’ve been accepted into the program, here’s how to find out.
Visit the following website to track the status of your NSFAS application:

• Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
• Enter your ID or username and password.
• Click the SIGN IN! button.
• Once you log into your account dashboard, click on Track Funding Progress to check your application status.
• If your application has been successful, Congrats! If not, better luck next time

Resetting Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your MyNSFAS student portal password simply follow these steps:

1. Click ‘forgot your password click here‘ link text
2. Enter your application ID number
3. Choose one of the following options:
   1. I can’t remember my username
   2. I can’t remember my password
   3. I can’t remember my username and password
4. Choose the relevant option
5. Click ‘submit’
6. A Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email you provided
7. Check your cellphone or email for the OTP. This OTP is only valid for 24 hours
8. Type the OTP number in the provided block
9. Click ‘submit’
10. A link to reset your login details will be sent to you via email and SMS
11. Click on the link that was received through SMS or email
12. Follow the reset process
13. Create a new password by following the instruction on the screen
14. Click ‘submit’

The portal can be accessed using any computer or Mobile Phone that is capable of surfing the web. Tasks such as: Course Registration, Fees Payment, Exam Results, Admission Online Application, Application Status, Acceptance Fees Payment, Timetable, Academic Calendar, Application Status can be carried out easily on the portal.
