NSFAS is an entity under the Department of Higher Education and Training in government, established according to the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial support to disadvantaged students who wish to further their studies at public universities or TVET colleges.
If you have not received a response to your application, you may be concerned about your chances of being approved. If you are an applicant, you can check the status of your application here to see if you have received any responses. Please follow the steps outlined in the online portal’s step-by-step guidance.
How can I check my NSFAS status
Please follow the processes outlined below to monitor or track the status of your application as an applicant.
1st Step:
Check the status of your NSFAS application on the nsfas website. By clicking on MyNSFAS account, you can log in with your ID and the password you set during the application procedure.
2nd Step:
Log in to your MyNSFAS account with your ID and the password you chose during the application process.
How long does Nsfas take to respond to a request?
Applicants should expect a response to their application within a few days following the deadline. If you haven’t heard from NSFAS yet, you should check on your application’s status yourself. Remember to check the status of your application very well to get proper understanding of your application status.
