Sekhukhune Further Education and Training College is a South African Public institution accredited by Umalusi (the body responsible for quality assurance of programmes offered at the general and TVET institutions) and governed by the Further Education and Training Colleges Act (FETC Act no 16 of 2006). The College emerged as a result of the merger process between two Colleges, namely, CS Barlow and CN Phatudi as declared by the Minister of National Education in order to change the TVET landscape.
The Sekhukhune TVET College has been registered with the Limpopo Department of Education in terms of the Provincial regulations for registration of institutions and its EMIS number is 996603305. The College is situated in the South-Eastern part of Limpopo Province and services mainly rural areas of the Greater Sekhukhune District Municipality which incorporate Five Local municipalities, namely, Elias Motsoaledi, Greater Marble-Hall, Greater Tubatse, Fetakgomo and Makhuduthamaga local municipality.
The College focuses on Engineering, Business, Information Technology and Utility Studies training which relates directly to the needs as identified by ASGISA (Accelerated & Shared Growth Initiative for South Africa) and JIPSA (Joint Initiative on Priority Skills Acquisition) for skilled people in the engineering, Financial and Managerial fields while it is also addressing the needs for skilled artisans, IT Technicians, Employees in the Tourism and Hospitality fields.

- Copy Certified of latest school report/statement of result / Grade 9 or higher / GET Certificate / ABET Level 4 Certificate / N1 / A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the requirements for access
- 3 certified copies of ID of Learner
- 3 certified copies of ID of Parent/Legal Guardian
- One ID size photo
Applicants will undergo a placement test before submitting an application for the programme of their interest. The placement test takes place in September every year and students need to book in advance in order to write the test.

Sekhukhune TVET College Admission Requirements.
Requirements for NC(V) Courses;
The students are permitted to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 taking into account possible subject failures.
- Minimum entrance requirements are NQF1 i.e. Grade 9 and AET Level 4
- Entry requirements have been guided and aligned to the NC (V) policy. A point system for entry into qualifications will be utilized.
Requirements for Report 191 Courses;
- Minimum entrance requirements as aligned by the NATED Policy. Students who have passed to Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
- Students who have passed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 who want to pursue an artisan career will be admitted to N1 based on a point system
Requirements for Occupational Courses;
- Minimum entrance requirements as per registered Skills Programme/Learnership approved by QCTO/SETA
- To be eligible to apply for an Occupational Programme a student who previously enrolled for NC(V) or Report 191 programmes will only be considered if such a student has fully completed the NC(V) or Report 191 programme (passed all subjects).
Additional Entry Requirements
- The College Council has determined additional entry requirements by means of a point system for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1 and Report 191 N4 in an effort to improve the quality and performance of specialized programmes.
