Ehlanzeni TVET College is one of the licenced technical and vocational training in South Africa and it is accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training. Ehlanzeni TVET College is located in the Ehlanzeni region of Mpumalanga province in South Africa. Ehlanzeni TVET College offers a wide variety of vocational, occupational and skills training programmes, which provides students with scares and article skills, as well as practical experience in the field which offers the good prospect of employment. All the college programmes are sincerely examined, quality-assured, and certified by the National Quality Assurance Bodies (UMALUSI and QCTO) of South Africa.

The college consists of eight sites. Ehlanzeni TVET College has seven different campuses and a central office. the campuses are namely, Barberton, Kanyamazane, Mapulaneng, Mashishing, Mlumati, Mthimba and Nelspruit. Gert Sibande TVET College was established in 2002 as a result of the merging of the Technical Colleges of Ermelo, Evander and Standerton. It has since expanded and has six campuses in the towns of Balfour; Ermelo; Evander; Glenmore; Perdekop and Standerton. The College currently offers both National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and NATED programmes, with the different campuses offering a different mix of programmes. Gert Sibande TVET College also has a Skills Academy and a Centre for Entrepreneurship Rapid Incubator, and through all this, the College strives to be a leading college brand in South Africa.

As a part of the TVET sector, Gert Sibande TVET College seeks to contribute to the TVET sector vision of skilling the nation, with the purpose of employability. In pursuing this vision, the College seeks to assess its Programme Quality Mix (QPM), particularly as to how well it meets the needs of its stakeholders, namely the students, employers of all sizes, communities, local municipalities etc. In doing this, it will be critical to understand the needs of the different stakeholders in order to ensure each of the campuses have the appropriate programmes on offer to produce employable graduates. Understanding local municipalities, employers and communities can’t be done in isolation – an understanding of each respective municipality where the campus is based is required.


Nkangala TVET College was formed in 2003 with the merger of Witbank, Middelburg, Mpondozankomo, and CN Mahlangu campuses (formerly Technical Colleges) in the Nkangala region. Waterval boven Campus was transferred in 2011 from Ehlanzen FET College. The college was formed after the adoption of the FET Act of 1996 by Parliament. The College is the largest educational institution in the Mpumalanga Province, serving the community in the Nkangala region. CN Mahlangu and Waterval Boven are predominately rural.
