The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) is a governing organization that oversees technical and vocational education and training in the United Kingdom (TVET).
The authority is in charge of overseeing learning institutions, trainers, and program licenses and accreditation.

TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) is a type of education and training that prepares people for work.
Formal, non-formal, and informal learning are all used in TVET. TVET is widely acknowledged as a critical tool for achieving social fairness, inclusiveness, and long-term development.

Under the Ministry of Education, the Technical and Vocational Education Division (TVED) is one of the ten (10) divisions of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters responsible for implementing pre-tertiary Technical and Vocational Education (MoE).
There are 160 public technical and vocational institutes, including 22 GES Technical Institutes, 19 Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Centers, and others administered by various government organizations. There are also 250 officially registered private vocational schools/training facilities run by individuals, churches, and non-governmental organizations.

TVET Colleges can offer courses in industry fields such as agriculture, arts and culture, business, hospitality, commerce and management, education, training and development, engineering, manufacturing and technology, services, building construction and security.


Documents needed to apply:

All applicants starting a new qualification are required to upload the following certified documents:

  • Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
  • Certificates/Qualifications
  • Recent Academic results
  • Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
  • A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
  • The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).

How To Apply To A Tvet College

  • Applicants are required to pay an application fee( The application fee is stated on the application form)
  • Applicant must have an active email account(note, an applicant without email will not be admitted.
  • Applicant should make sure he qualifies for a particular course before applying
  • All applicants should be 18years and above and must provide a valid ID to prove
  • Applicants should provide original or copied certified results or qualification
  • A certified ID of parents or Guardians
  • Medical proof of your condition.
  • Complete and sign the disability form
  • foreign applicant should submit their passport ID
  • SAQA approve
  • Studying permit
  • Proof of insurance or medical
